Starting Monday, crews will begin storm sewer installation on Mulock Drive, just east of Yonge Street, in Newmarket. Please see below for more details.
work dates*: Monday, August 20-Tuesday, August 28
work hours*: 7am – 7pm
stage 1:
- Crews will start working on the southeast corner of the intersection, and progress north.
- Traffic on Mulock will be reduced to one dedicated eastbound lane and one dedicated westbound lane, east of the Yonge intersection.
- Once complete, crews will backfill and pave the work area, and progress north.
stage 2:
- Crews will continue to work on the northeast corner of the intersection.
- Traffic on Mulock will be reduced to one dedicated eastbound lane and one dedicated westbound lane, east of the Yonge intersection.
- Once complete, crews will backfill and pave the work area.
other details:
- Access to properties and businesses will be maintained.
- Traffic control staff and paid duty officers will be onsite, as required.
- Wherever possible, sidewalks and bus stops will remain open. If a sidewalk or bus stop is closed, directional signs will guide pedestrians to the nearest open sidewalk or bus stop.
- Due to the nature of this work, at times, there will be construction-related noise and dust from equipment and trucks.
- Please give yourself enough time to get to your destination, and remember to reduce your speed through construction zones.
