storm sewer installation on Yonge, north of William Roe

Starting Monday, crews will begin installing a storm sewer on the east side of Yonge Street, just north of William Roe Boulevard. Please see below for more information.

work dates*: Monday, April 23, for approximately one week
work hours*: 7am-7pm

what you need to know

  • To accommodate this work, northbound Yonge will be reduced to one lane, around the construction zone, between 7:30am-3:30pm.
  • The sidewalk on the northeast corner of Yonge and William Roe will be closed for the duration of this work. Follow directional signs to the nearest open sidewalk.
  • The bus stop at the northeast corner of the Yonge and William Roe intersection will remain open.
  • Access to businesses and properties near the work area will be maintained.
  • Due to the nature of this work, there will be construction-related noise and dust from equipment and trucks.
  • Please give yourself enough time to get to your destination, and remember to reduce your speed through construction zones.
